MMS GREEN CD PROGRAM

MMS is launching a company-wide GREEN CD PROGRAM, which means we will be able to deliver you a greener CD - possibly even the greenest CD available to independent musicians today.

Let’s face it, there’s no such thing as a truly environmentally-friendly compact disc - the discs themselves are made of metal and plastic.

But we CAN change the CD packaging, which will have a huge impact on a CD's environmental impact - and we CAN, as a company, take a close look at all of our environmental policies and practices.

Musicians have been telling us they want to reach their fans in an environmentally friendly way - so we're doing everything we can to help them do that.

You can read about the program online, but here are a few highlights:

* MMS is offering two new choices for DigiPak™ trays - one is 100% recycled plastic, and one is biodegradable PaperFoam™

* Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) approved papers are now standard in all CD production, which means they come from responsibly logged forests

* All of our inks are vegetable-based

* As always, there are tons of recycled papers to choose from

This is just a start! MMS promises to keep searching for better, greener solutions, and to use them as soon as we possibly can.
